To access Intramural Sports registration, schedules, and more please visit the MyCampusRec portal. The first intramural sports departments were established at Ohio State University and the University of Michigan in 1913. Elmer Mitchell, a graduate student, at the time, was named the first Director of Intramural Sports at the University of Michigan in 1919 and the first recreational sports facility in the country opened at the University of Michigan. Intramural Sports are competitive and recreational sport leagues, tournaments, and events.

Intramural Sports Voted the #1 Intramural Program in the country by The Princeton Review. Intramural sports provide students an opportunity to participate in a variety of recreational sport activities on campus. Programs are open to all students. Students may register with a group of students, or as a “free agent” and be placed on a team. Each intramural team shall be permitted to have a maximum of two (2) current sport club members on its roster for the same or related sport. These club players must be noted on the roster card. Former collegiate varsity athletes are ineligible in to play in the sport they played at the varisty level and all related sports for one academic year or 365 days from their last varsity contests.
